Default vanishing task manager


hey guys my task manager seems to have vanished please help

wat happens exactly wen u press ctrl-alt-del???
try ctrl-shift-esc or run taskmgr.exe..

yup had the same problem fortunately i have the solution
start-run
in run enter

REG add HKCU\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Pol icies\System /v DisableTaskMgr /t REG_DWORD

better if u copy and paste

Task Manager Disabled ? Download and apply this registry fix. Reboot.

when i press ctrl+alt+del it shows "task manager has been disabled by your administrator"

my PC has gone mad
now it is not opening regedit

You have a limited account on the PC.You must be logged in as administrator to access tskmngr or regedit.

if u r sure that u ver able to do the same till some time back and are also doubly sure that u have Administrator privilages, then the symptoms u have described clearly india8 dat u been infectd with a virus (actually a worm)

My suggestions

1.) Run a good virus scan to disinfect ur computer (use NOD32 or KAV)

2.) To re-enable access to registry, check out my post in this thread

Vista-registry editing is disabled by ur admin

3) Search the forum b4 postin

yes d00d u right, dat shud have been ver d member shud have looked or ver i shud have pointed d member 2

BUT

u gotta click on so many links to reach d right soln dat i often get so distracted(in a gud way ) wit all d other tutz dat i once 4got wat was it dat i was lukin 4
aslo b VBS file dat i asked d member 2 dowload wud autom8 d registry enablin process

eagerly awaitin 4 d launch of ur own site so dat i can easily link members to it 4 any problem dey face

as long as d comp is not disinfected task manager will again b disabled probably next boot and he still will b unable to access d Registry and have its Task manager disabled again
