Default bootable partition manager Urgent!


I want bootable partition manager which is small in size.
possibly iso version i need it urgent.I try to download Gparted but it is too big file for dial up user.

i wnt to make partition in exisisting drive

Either use the Gparted live cd
or the Ubcd > ranish partition manager

you can either haf Gparted or you may use any Live linux cd.

@pathiks
ubcd is also a heavy download.

AFAIK,G-parted is the lightest.U can ask ur broadband friend to download it for u.Also G-Parted is best free partition manager.

Off Topic: sorry guys am going off topic but i would like to know so plz do reply.......

am confused, actually i dont know what is live cd.........? can any one tell me what is it......? i thought to start a new thread.... but here i saw a talk of live cd.... so i interupt.......

we can work with s\w without installed with the help of live cd........?

U can boot directly thru the live cd and use the os/soft.. U dont need to install nything, be it os or soft..

yes, a live cd is an OS which has almost everything. you only need to boot it and there the whole linux os is there at ur disposal. ubuntu is one example of a live cd distro which can also be installed.

knoppix cd at ur rescue for paritioning.
Open terminal, type cfdisk, u can play with parititions now.

or u can use zeleps/ranish parition manager.

EDit: u can also use ubuntu CD.
