not able to format my infected xp...

recently i encountered a strange problem, wenever i tried to open orkut on my IE, d window closed nd i got a dialogue box saying dat orkut is banned wid a strange sound accompnying it. den d same happnd wid youtube. den i installed mozilla firefox but couldnt use it as evrytime i started it, it wud automatically close wid a msg "i dnt hate mozilla but use IE or else..." i installd a new antivirus, updated it nd scannd d system, nothing hppnd... nw am not even able to format my pc ne wich way!! PLZ HELP!!

im sure this cud be a virus or a spyware
try installing spybot search and destroy and avast free version and scan them
or u cud try deleting ur temporary internet files if that doesent work well i dont know, u cud also try using several
give us some clues when this happened, what u did before this happened and stuff

Search the forums with "i dnt hate mozilla but use IE or else..." it indeed is a virus & can be scanned with spybot & antivirus.

bcoz buddy rite now i have tried evrythin i know about formatting a system but am not able 2 do it, d prob 4 me nw isnt dat am not able to access orkut or youtube, its dat am not able 2 format my system... nd yes, 1 more thing i forgot to mention is dat aftr al dis hppnd, i installd anodr OS (xp) on my d drive nd wen i boot d system wid d new OS evrythin works fine.

^^No u r wrong...this virus wont cause any format problems and u dont need to format the HD for this virus.
