Unable to install softwares

I'm using windows XP with SP2 installed.

When i try to install some software i'm getting an error like"The procedure entry point_wsplitpath_s could not be located in the dynamic link library msvcrt.dll"
This error appears again and again until i go to task manager and i end that process.
and the software doen't install.
i'm attaching what the error msg is actually(cap)

Plz tell me how to get out of this....

In what way is msvcrt.dll related to virus.well i use Kaspersky internet security 7and found no virus/spyware

msvcrt.dll is not what kept me thinking, its the aginstall.exe which u wanted to install !!!

....

If possible please attache ur HijackThis log... !!!
