Start menu probs in XP

Hi
m having this particular prob for a very long time now..

my start menu >> All Programs items have accumulated largely.

m not able to delete any of those entries.....whenever i right-click on any entry....the dropdown menu doesnt remain .... it just flashes and disappears....

plz help

well system restore is not a solution of every thing though...

Try under Safe Mode...

While you are just about to enter Windows Booting menu, press F8 will give you option for Safe mode boot up, use that to boot in to safe mode try from there !!

also Visit your Start menu folder through Windows Explorer.... the localiot would be,

• %SystemRoot%\Profiles\user_name\Start menu\Programs
• %SystemRoot%\Profiles\Default user\Start menu\Programs

if u wan 2 remove an entry from Start->Programs u cud also do it from here

Start->Settings->Task Bar and Start Menu

in d window dat opens click on d Start menu tab den click on Customise button

in d window dat opens up click on Remove

once u do dat it will show u d list of all programs dat is present in Start->Programs

u can easily remove it from there
