Default help in saving passwords


Hi guys I use firefox, i want to re install windows xp, problem is i have a lot of bookmarks and password saved which i dont to write or remember . Is their a way that i can save my passwords on other drive .dont tell about using an extension for firefox which create profile of extension .the last time i use that exten i am not able to revive my password and extensions

I guess moving the password file would help?

It's an encrypted file located at:

C:/Documents and Settings/<UserName>/Application Data/Mozilla/Firefox/Profiles/<something>.default/signons.txt

1. There is import / export password extension which work without any problems. Not sure which one you used.

2. As suggestd by QwertyManiac

3. You can always consider portable apps in future
