Default my files are gone due to one virus


hi
my system is affected by one virus and it affect only the folders.and the folders are changed to .scr format.when i right click the folder then it shows the options like test,install,configure like it.my important files are gone because of this kind of virus.is any way to retrieve it.please help me.

cheeta bhai i dont think tht would help....dood do u have any antivirus...if not then install one and get the name of the virus...then ill give u the remedy..

btw were those files .doc...if so then ur have the
W32.Rungbu-C - Virus

You can say Install one good AVS, and turns out that person is running Windows Server edition so its better to have knowledge of the entire setup before recomending some thing !!!

when i try to recover using the recover my files then the file will be in .scr format.wat can i do?
