Default Windows Error


I am having windows 2000 Professonal operating system. Since few days it shows me some error called explorer.exe and after that error nothing will be displayed on our window i.e. taskbar, icons, etc.
how to solve this problem.

explorer.exe is not a problem, but a genuine program dat renders d OSs shell

wat xactly is happenin? and wat do u do b4 u c dis problem?

NE WAY: if u want 2 restart explorer.exe do this

press Cltr+Alt+Del, select Task Manager
in d window dat opens up, selct d Applications tab, click on New Tasks button
in d win dat opens up, type
Code:
C:\Winnt\explorer.exe
and press enter
u shud get back ur shell

but dis may b just a temp soln
if needed refer 2 event viewer 2 isol8 d problem

Even typing the following command will do

u maybe infected, or obviously have corrupt OS. try running sfc /scannow, unless you want to always type in explorer when sys starts up.

d guys got no shell to work with, so u will have 2 start all programs thru task mananger

mite as well start explorer.exe thru task manger and sart doing all ur work from inside d shell

ne way as d guy above said ur OS is probably corrupted/infected
u mite wan2 try runnin a gud scan and/or re-install d os

I said instead of the complete path. Ur explanation was pretty right so there was no need to re-explain.

actally on second thot ur just explorer ida is nice/fool-proof

d first time i tried startin shell in win2003, i realised no such folder exists

wit ur ida it will open no matter where
