Norton -Paid- Uses too much memory and has update flaws within the program. Scans are slow and the look is old and nothing new.

AVG - update problems and slow updating. No skin support and the look is crap!- Heavy Definition Update

Avs has better detection rate and best support than avast.....but avs lacks incoming http scan

Avast rocks guys.And the boot time scanning is just too cool and highly effective.Updates are smaller in size and almost regular.

While I have used Avast for quite some and its great, but I have never heard of slow updates on AVG, they provide daily updates and the servers are fast too

when i was using AVG, the update(virus definition) file size were not more than ~100KB. (more incase i didnt update it for days).

why do you care about AV Skin.

if you regularly open the AV window, then only you need 'em.

i rarely open the KAV window., it stays in the taskbar.

Regarding skins I must say that Vista has very few addtional features but its the looks which make it cool
Regarding updates i must say avast has smallest updates (try urself)
and last but not the least it is resource friendly (only norton users can realize that )

I will say that u must try it once ( & I bet just once and u'll s\tart loving it)

Avast takes too much memory compared to kav,avs(free) and nod32.....and avs has better detection rate than avast

Atleast they(avast) don't promote piracy

best thing about avast is that it scans every second without u even running it
and everytime a new file is installed or downloaded it scans it immediately i was saved 10 times by this when i downloaded some stuff thats why i purchased proffesional its worth it

i disagree avast though good uses more system resources than kaspersky and quick heal.the main prob. i have with avast is that it'll never detect viruses on it's own but catch it when you visit that directory and this sucks when you play a scratched disc it scans everything and then explorer hangs.almost the same prob with kaspersky but a bit less and way more efficient.for users having 256mb or less ram like me use quick heal provides decent protection,low cpu and disc usage and i have a trick which can enable u to use it without buying it.not a cack or keygen just a flaw
