Default Windows Media Player codecs

Hi guys
I just purchased a DVD writer but when i play a vob file in VLC player its works but when i play it in Windows media player it gives me an error.

Windows Media Player cannot play the DVD because a compatible DVD decoder is not installed on your computer.

could someone pls tell me which codecs do i need to install. i already have Divx installed but it doesnt play in divx too.

Thanks

you could search the forums for the ulimate codec pack (I forget what it is called) or you could google 'codec pack'. (K-lite Codec pack is what I grabbed from google) OR install zoomplayer and when u open it up it will show you which codecs you may want and where to download them from.

Well as suggested by every one, u would need one Codec Pack...

K-Lite may do the job, http://www.free-codecs.com/download/...Codec_Pack.htm

Download and install that to allow Media Player to play all short of Files
