Win Xp Professional Price....

Hi Guys,

Can anybody tell me where can I purchase licensed copy of Windows-XP professional in Pune? And what is the price?

Also is it wise to go for Win Xp now or should I go for Vista Ultimate?

Also I got to know that OEM version can be activated only twice. Is it true?

I am gonna build a C2D based machine this weekend. So vista should run on the same.

y dont u check out Pune's yellow pages and get their numbers and ask them 4 d price and post d exact name/number 4 future refernce

I enquired here is pune the prices of vista as I have dropped the plan to buy xp.

Win Vista Business Full Pack Price - 10750 + 4% vat.

Please let me know if this price is ok or is it on the higher side?

Hell yeah, and why u need the full pack, useless, go for OEM

Windows Vista Ultimate is Rs. 9500/- + TAX in kolkata, business is cheaper

Well Choto Cheeta,

Full pack has many advantages over oem. I was gonna buy oem only but later descided to go for full pcak. Here goes the list -

For OEM Version:

-- cannot upgrade over an existing Windows installation.
-- must be installed "clean" on a freshly reformatted drive or partition.
-- cannot be transferred to a different computer in the future.
-- the license cannot be sold or transferred to another user.
-- are not eligible for free Microsoft technical support.
-- any problems whatsoever with the installation CD or Product Key.
is not eligible for Microsoft support....you have to deal with the "seller".
