I just want to know where software engineers write or make software . How do they do? what software or other thing they use??

instead of write or make d more appropriate term wud be code or program

also diff cos code 4 diff platforms so use diff IDEs depending on d language dey use 4 programming

for ex if a co is into developing appz based on d .NET architecture dey wud use Visual Studio

also i think dat it shud b in chit-chat so i'm REPORTIN

in simple language.there are a group of s/w enggrs who will discuss on what the project is based on.that means like an algorithm(diffrnt steps) they make.the end point is where programmers coding the app and compile it with different ide's whether paid or free like Visual Studio,intel compilers etc for windows os.or gcc,g++ etc for UNIX like OS(gui programming is diffrnt with gtk+2,qt,cocoa etc).cross platform apps also can be made.different programming language and concepts exists.of all .net platform seems gaining.java,C++ are still strong.
