HTTPS not available

From yesterday i am unable to access any HTTPS sites....no net banking , no emails checking etc etc...

Can some body please tell me solution and the root cause???

i have already run this dll to re-register the .dll's that Internet Explorer uses to view sites that are secured and to restore access to port 443.

uv' also tried to power cycle modem/router, reset winsocks, loggin on through safemode with networking? what happens when u ping a website? what kind of Ip address are u pulling in?

As a temp measure, try switching browsers. Try Firefox or Opera. They don't use IE engine and its files.

Today i discovered that i can access https://www.gmail.com
but no t icicibank.com login page

i have downloaded opera...lets see now..

Could not down load firefox.....

P.S=> i have zone alarm installed...but this never gave problem before...wonder if soem settings have been changed

try disabling zonealarm and anyother firewall, look at ur IE options trusted sites and resticted sites, the site may have acutally ended up in the restricted sites. could have also ended up in your host file as well.

i have uninstalled my IE ....

is any IE setup file stored on PC...esp with SP2??

or give me location to downlaod it if possible....

you should be able to go to add/remo prog select win components and install from there. Also Microsoft used to have a link to download ie 6 and 7, they might have taken down the 6, try searching there site it should still be there
