where r antivirus updates stored?

AFAIK d win update files get directed to their respective destinations and become part of d OS

dont think it is possible to revrse d process, you will have to download d patches manually. and anyway a patch may fix many issues.

there was a thread in the forum abt this. i cant seem to find it now. windows stores updates in the C:\WINDOWS\SoftwareDistribution\Download folder. u could try backing it up, but ii am not sure whether it will work.

yup there is a folder there with lotsa dll files and and exe in each folder, but it is not running bcos of a updsapi.dll file missing

dat very much a good soln, but i think hes askin for a way to backup d updates obtained from windows update feature

dat folder dat saurabh.sauron mentioned does seem to hold some back up, which brings me to my question Is it safe to delete that folder content?
