Default Explorer.exe


MY comp sometimes loads explorer.exe but sometimes doesn't and i have to do it manually. how to solve this problem?

as far as I know explorer.exe is your taskbar and icons. so yeah it should load, or else you would have a blank looking desktop, with nothing to click on. what kind of AV are u running and when was the last time you ran ascan? you can try sfc /scannow if you don't think it is a virus. but I would recommend running hijackthis and post log back here, so we can see what the issue might be.

start-->>set program access and defaults-->>add remove windows component.

from there first uninstall IE-->>restart your system-->>again install IE..U will be asked windows XP CD during installation.

I think this should solve your problem.

c if u r be able to recover explorer.exe by running sfc /scannow
else repair xp option.

many times if v end task d process "explorer.exe " n ten again load it by goin 2 new task, why does "my documents " folder open with it....... is it sm sort of virus???
