sound problem in xp

hello iam krish.my problem is that my volume of the pc automatically reduces whenever i start my xp. i have to go to sound properties and raise the volume.but after sometime my volume again reduces.i am not able to understand the problem please help me

have u installed any music softwares
if yes then check their sound propertie
my friend once had installed a player it used to frequently reduce the volume every 5 min
