thanks for reply. But I have a number of doubts
Please tell which features of NTFS file sytem will not be available when I convert C: to NTFS.
When I enter Convert C:/fs:ntfs in command prompt it asks for my permission to dismount the drive. If all the processes from C: would be dismounted would I be able to see the GUI of windows or only DOS prompt whould be there?
Should I dismount the drive just then or should ask it to do the same at next reboot.

Just dismount that drive. It may ask you to do this during next boot. So reboot your computer.

And let me tell you, there is NO ANY RISK while converting drive from FAT32 to NTFS.
So go ahead
