Cool winxp desktop


i want some help here

i want to change my desktop appearance

1. i want my taskbar set at the top of the screen
.. but when i re login it goes back to the bottom

2. i like the quick launchers in the taskbar .. but again the same problem ..when i relogin it disappears

3. i want to put my shortcuts in a folder( any other solution) such that when i click on it or pause on it ... it opens up as a submenu...

is there any possible solution here ... suggest please

Solutions:

1 & 2: Open regedit and goto:

Code:
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Policies\Explorer
Now in right-side pane make sure there is no DWORD value NoSaveSettings. If its there, delete it.

3: If u r talking about Start -> Programs, then u can make a new folder and copy/paste ur desired program shortcuts in this new folder. To create a new folder, right click on Start button and select "Open" and then open "Programs" folder and now u can create any folder.

For 3, I dont know how to do it in XP, but Object Dock Plus has the feature to do it. Just check the website if that is what you want, someone might be able to suggest a freeware as well as objectdock Plus is paid.
