first install a good AV and scan your system for virusses.....
now insert your windows XP cd and press WINKEY+R the run dialog box will pop up... now type SFC /SCANNOW it will take some time for windows to again restore files from disc and your problem will sort out.. write again if this does not solves the problem..

Right click on this http://www.kellys-korner-xp.com/regs_edits/noclose.reg and choose Save Target As...save it to your desktop. Now double click on that noclose.reg file and choose Yes to add it to the registry. See if the shutdown entry returns after doing that (or after a restart).
to get run back try these Right-click on the Start button Click on Properties Select the Start Menu tab Press the Customize button Select the Advanced tab Scroll down through the Start menu items list Check the box next to Run( uncheck and recheck if already checked) Press OK twice if it doesn't work try this
In registry go to HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\Curre ntVersion\Policies\Explorer Create new DWORD Value called NoRun and set its value to 0.(might require restart) Hope it works. Last edited by Yavin; 23-07-2007 at 09:55 AM. |
