Default LAN network problems

http://img217.imageshack.us/my.php?i...ntitledir7.jpg

as you can see from the picture on the right hand side all the shared folders can not be accessed. (this computer is a dell) the other computer can access all the shares(including this computer). why do the icons look like default icons and what would I use to 'open them'. all three run XP pro. any ideas cuz I'm so close to pulling out my hair on this one.

On Computer Dell Turn off Simple File Sharing

Now Right Click on the Drive you want to share, Click Shareing and Security !!!

Now There at Shareing TAB, apart from Default X$ share, Click New Share, then Give a name, then Click Permission, and then Add Every one with full permission !! or rather the users u want to allow access to the Drive !!

yeah figured it had to do with permissions. Thanks man, I'll try that out when I have access to the dell.
