Default win 32 application


hi
i have a problem in running some application like VISUAL STUDIO 6.0, TURBOC/C++ 4.5,ORACLE 8.0i in the operating system WINDOWS XP PROFESSIONAL EDITION.
WHENEVER I TRIYING TO RUN THESE SOFTWARES A MESSAGE APPEARS .IT STATES THAT "THE OPERATING SYSTEM CANNOT SUPPORT WIN32 APPLICATION". NOW WHAT SHOULD I DO?

Try to uninstall it and reinstall again......

ur suggestion ...... dosen't work at all.i have already format the total hard drive for 3 times.it occurs everytime.

strange winxp prof is 32-bit OS which should and must run Win32 application.

The problem might be some virus displaying strange error messages

the problem is not with the os.. i thnk the softwares u hav got are either in zipped format or compressed and they have gone corrupt
the steup file mght have gone corrupt

Hi
The problem may be with the copy of the SW what u haver...Try installing from the same copy in some one else machine and also try to install the application from a different copy....

And did u remove the contents of the relevant folders, while uninstalling and did u format the drive that had the Application installed.... Sometimes certain files that are present in the non deleted folders can cause the probs...
