System hangs up wit floppy drive poping in..

my system at regular intervals hangs up for abt a second....while my floppy drive is seen glowing checking for a drive....i cant undstand wich of my services r making it do so coz it really created problems at certain times...at games, applications etc....

how often do u use floppy? if hardly ever remove it from the BIOS. infra_red_dude is more then likely right about that file, if norton won't pick it out try ewido.net online scanner.

yups did updation...thats a trojan but norton cant do nething abt it...all it can do is block access during start up wit a warning....plus i also think itunes connected wit ipod is making some move...not sure though...i tired removing it n twas fine for sometime

so it's still in the sys? try smitfraudfix, or combofix, those two progs work good for removing most trojans that other sowftware can't get rid of.

u may try aol avs. its a free anti-virus suite based on kaspersky...norton is crap. dump it! even the open source clam win is better than norton crap!
