Smile can we instal xp with vista present


i jjust got my dell inspirion 6400 which is loaded with windows vista home basic
can i install xp on my other drive would there be any problem
the computer management in the control pannel shows that
the D drive is a logical partion
but it is too large in size can i make it smaller to instal
could it create any problems
there is also 2 gb left but its not unallocated
and 47 mb as eisa configration

i would not like to mess with a new system i got after so much trouble

yup , u can . use dskpart to reduce disk space(free space) on a drive and convert it to unallocated space.

u'll also find how to convert the excess free space in one drive to unallocated space and convert it to an extra partition.

BTW , plz try searching .. a similar thread exists i think...
