Default how do i attach a link 2 a word

hey guys i've been trying 2 attach links to words on this forum
for ex if by clicking on the word DIGIT i want to take users to the thinkdigit website

i've been trying to use the anchot tag with href but it is not working on this forum

Code:
<a href="http://thinkdigit.com/">DIGIT</a>
but it does not seem to work. plz tell me how to do it
