Default Firefox 2.0.0.4 screwing up "Downloads"

I am dowloading this file using the Ctrl+J option in FF 2.0.0.4, it's downloading XX% completed, and suddenly it breaks off. Saves the incomplete file and "download complete". Once it deleted the downloaded file by itself?!!?

I prefer an external downloader, but u cannot have those downloaders to work with rapidshare(free) and other sites like that.

any suggestions?

Use Opera ? Hmm ? Firefox screws d/ls big time. Especially when you want to resume them after the application restart.

Nope. Many d/ls resume in Firefox in the same session. Not all. Try Opera. Its great.
