Default Is Nero Unreliable?

This time I wrote 3 GB data on a DVD for I had to send it to my jijju in Ivory Coast. I wrote it and even verified it. I used Nero 7 for this purpose and used a Moser Baer DVD. But shockingly my sister told me the next day that the DVD shows 0 bytes data written on it and the free space is also 0 bytes. Can somebody help me out what is this going on?

Don't worry, I guess the files are written. Tell her to download ISOBuster & using that she can extract all files. She don't need to buy ISOBuster. Free version will extract files fine.

happened to me too . ask her to wipe the disc clean and re-insert it..

PS , ask her to try a disc that works and then wipe this disc and put it . This worked for me twice or thrice over the last 2 yrs...

Hey now I have a new problem, I have wasted more than five dvds trying to write data on them. Once it gave this error:

Writing short lead-out
I: SONY DVD RW DW-Q28A
Illegal Disc
I: SONY DVD RW DW-Q28A
Could not perform end of disc-at-once
Burn process failed at 16x(22,160KB/s)

Later it also gave power calibration error on one dvd.

Moreover, it is not reading CDs anymore.

Software is good enough (Though the newer versions will eat up a lot of RAM )

but max of the time problem comes with the midea we use, some time these cheap media's are not able to get burnt at higher speed !!

1. Try to burn at lower rate. It helps many times.
2. Try to upgrade the writer firmware. I hv also faced a similar problem in past with my Sony DVD writer, which was unable to write MoserBaer DVDs and after firmware upgrade it started.

There is certainly a problem with the drive. As suggested, try upgrading the firmware or reinstalling the drive.

Nero is great. Might be a fault with Moser Baer DVD.
