I did not find any tread for solving any of the problems for linux
So i decided to make a new one
I just finished installing Linux Mandrake 7.0
but i am not able to connect to internet through it
i have a broad band connection
ya wanted to know can i use my dvd writer
, printer
Tv tunner
does mandrake also has updates like windows
please help

Dude y did u install such an ancient os??? Get a new one like mandriva 07 or ubuntu 7.04 or open suse 10.2 if u want support..

There is a whole section dedicated to open source and you cudnt find a thread.

And about Mandrake 7.0, I searched google and its release year is 2005, so if your modem, dvdburner, printer and TVtuner cards are old enough, then they have a chance to work.
Else use a newer version of Mandrake (now Mandriva) or any other distro. These things will work on that distro.
