This is a very powerfull professional tool for video capture. Its learning curve is a bit steep but no other software can compete. Start learning here. If you have any doubts feel free to ask here or on its forum.

plug in the output of your soundcard/mobo [the wire that goes to your speaker] to the input of the soundcard/mobo [the place whre you slot in your mike] and capture the audio seperately using dub. Then add both streams.

I dont have any separate cable which comes out of the mobo and goes to the speaker. The speaker cable only goes inside the mobo. Plz help me as i really need to capture it in good quality but knows very little. Also tell me whether it is possible to get the capture date(date on which the video was shot) if using DV coz it is possible to get it if using tvtuner card but the quality is not at all good.

Well the "speaker cable", unplug it and use "standard audio cable" to interconnect the audio out to the audio in on your mobo.

Pardon the hurried illustrations, but you get the point dont you>?.
