New Vista Ultimate Dreamscene Wallpaper.

Vista Ultimate users Prepare to enjoy a new Dreamscene background ! This is produced by the Silverlight team. which by the way, is t a new Microsoft technology for creating programs that run in your web browser.

The new Windows Vista DreamScene background - a soothing blue affair with twirlingshapes, like a very low-key version of the Ribbons screensaver. It's not a proper Windows Vista Ultimate Extra, so it's not on Windows Update - you can download it from the Microsoft website.

I Have made my own DreamScenes and just got a collection of Dreamscenes from other sources..and this one's really kewl

How can i set this file as wallpaper as there s no option when i right click on it

Place the WMV files in your "\Windows\Web\Windows DreamScene" directory of Windows Vista installation. Then just right-click on desktop and click "Personalize"... In the usual Desktop Background setting option, search for the WMV files and set it.

I think if Dreamscene is installed, then u get the option "Set as background" in video files context menu.

Hey anand..I just need the DreamScene which was demonstrated on the day of Vista Launch..(Hope u have seen that webcast?)

Use Windows Update in Vista Ultimate. If your hardware supports DreamScene's requirement, it will show up in Windows Ultimate Extras group. Just select it and install, quite a big package with all the Videos in it.

u actualy dont need to download all the videos

@rakesh not sure but the windows guys had released a set of dreamscenes may be ur dreamscene is in that .... qwerty if u dwnldd tht entire pack can u tell what dreamscenes are in it or is the pack worth dwnlding

I don't think the Videos are selectable as a separate unit, via Windows Update. Those bonus packs come as a single unit of 4 videos I suppose, leaving the default from this:

And no, they are pretty bad, you can notice them loop and they have bad quality. Not worth

Aren't videos converted to .dream in the first place? Use that StarDock something to play them ..

well the dreams u dwnld from stardock need u to install deskscapes then no issues just install and it will appear in the change desktop window

for mogs etc there is a set as background option when u right click

What the hell! Why is this Widescreen video 16:9? When it comes to Widescreen on the PC, it is always 16:10....

Umm....not quite. Did you set the resolution properly? Widescreen is a standard which used 16:9 aspect ratio all over.

Well I played it with Windows Media player and it shows me tiny black bars at the top and bottom. Obviously 16:9

But when it comes to desktop resolutions, show me one desktop monitor with a 16:9 ratio...there are none.
