Talking Big keg o questions?

i have a couple of questions guys..help me
1>my laptop used to have three os's..
xp home on C:
xp pro on D:
xp media centre on E:
as you might guess it the first two happen to be pirated..so i deletd the main program and "windows" directory of C: and D:
i now use only the genuine media center on E:
now is it safe to format C and D?
will that erase the boot sector?

2>all the partitions are formatted in fat32..can i format the two partitions alone in ntfs?

3>i have a 1 gig flash drive.can i use it to speed up page fetches similar to Vista's READYBOOST.???Also is this recommended??

4>also .msi installers fail to work on my sys... why is that??

try asking Vishal Gupta http://www.thinkdigit.com/forum/members/7430.html the super guru. yes if you format c: you will loose your ability to boot to the e: (I am assuming that you have one drive partitioned 3 times) as for the MSI installer either try to download the lates one from MS. and if that don't work you will have to unreg the old one then install the new one. So You installed WIN MCE last? how much stuff is on there that you would like to save.... cuz in my honest opinion I would format the whole drive and then just install the legit copy of windows... but thats my opinion hence why you should ask someone like Vishal Gupta ...

1. Yes,Also Make sure u edit Boot.ini file in case of any Trouble after the Format

2. Yes,U will not have any Problem..

3. Nope,READYBOOST feature is exclusive to Vista Only ..And Ur flash drive should be Ready Boost Compatible for it to be used in Vista

4. You should Better upgrade to SP2 to not face such problems..For Now try Using Windows Installer 3.1 Redistributable (v2) to troubleshoot .msi files..Its available for download in Below Link
