unable to play 4Gb DivX file

Recently I recorded a show using Pinnacle PCTV 110i internal tuner card

Output format selected is DivX

Final size of the divx file : 4.1GB

Now, I am unable to play this file in either PC or in DivX enabled DVD player. Any reason why?

are there any free divx file splitters available?

Play using VLC player on ur com..this should solve the problem....install "GSpot" ....it will give u details of the codecs installed in ur machine

Get the latest codecs ......check if ur pinnacle tuner card has the codec installed..or else install it

& as far as DIVX player is concerned.....update ur DVD Player....since support for Divx versions may vary from model to model

use VLC player or Media player Classic, both use there own inbuilt file splitter and file should be played easily, If it works then use VirtualDub to rectify this problem.

If VLC and MP classic can't play then I guess nothing can be done, and Gspot will tell yoi this that the file is corrupt.
