Smile How to Access PC remotely......?


I have a Sify Internet Connection
&
my friend has a MTNL Broadband net connection
we both live in different area but in same city

Can i access his PC from my home ?
If yes how can I...?
Pls tell me...............

If you Windows XP then u can use Remote Desktop Connection to connect to his PC .

Start->Programs->Accessories->Communication->Remote Desktop Connection


just enter his IP address and then u can log onto his pc just like a normal user and willl have his pc's desktop as ur own .

You can configure additional settings by clicking on "Options"

^^ You'll have to configure Remote Desktop on your pc first ..
Start > Run > Sysdm.cpl {Press Enter}
Click on Remote tab,
Enable the option that says Allow users to directly connect to this computer.
Then click on Select Remote Users.
Click on Add
Click on Advanced, then click on Find Now.
Select the user you want to give remote access to.

I'll recommend you create a limited user account with a password and give remote access to it.

hey buddy my friends i.p is dynamic ipconfig and www.ip-adress.com is showing different i.p so what i.p should i use ?

www.ip-adress.com show my IP correctly but say it is in Japan
