Question Windows file encryption

Hi,I am using Windows xp's inbuilt file encryption to protect my files from other users.I'm the system admin.I have a doubt that if my Windows crashes and it require a complete re install, will I be able to access my files with new admin account?

Please see my thread on 'File Encryption in Windows XP Pro SP2'
I'm having the same problem and not able to access my files. Have yo got any resolution as of yet? Please do let me know. Although I somehow did manage to delete the files but unable to open them. I can see the filenames & file details, but no matter how many users and user rights I add, until I don't have that same certificate number I can't access it.
