Internet Explorer 7 problem

I am currently working on a website

on the top there is a form on one side and a flash clock on another side

below it there is a emblem or logo

the contents are below it

i have used tables for the entire page.

the problem in ie is that there is a huge gap created between the form and the emblem

there is no problem in firefox

please help

IE is always know to Read CSS pretty bad, anyway, can we have a look at the code ??
