Windows Users
How many windows user accounts are there in my system... I created only one administrator account + 1 user account... Is there any other a/c or users created by Windows itself. I could able to find System - whats its password..

To know excat number, Right Click on My Computer, Click Manage and navigate to Local user and User Groups and then the User folder under it  it will show how many account u have at present in ur system

^^ If I'm not wrong its Windows 2003 but u can also hv same look in XP by using Windows Classic theme.

yes there were so many users . . but most of them are not created by me... is there any harm in removing them ,...

^^ All those users are created by system or softwares, so don't delete theme. Most of them are inactive, so leave them.

u can also view the users by typing

control userpasswords2
in the run menu .

I dont think you can log into any windows generated account except Administrator and Guest... The others are there to run specific services I think (it will help in creating custom settings I think)

yeah I agree, u dont need to remove them !!! Keeping them wont harm the system but removing the may !!!

Sorry... I dont get u  as u can log in to log without any problem... !!! yes by default guest account is inactive but one may Turn it on from Control Panel, and Administrator account is always active

You can log in to Administrator and Guest... In Win XP, etc you have additional users created by windows such as ASPNET, etc... These are users that I dont think you can log in as... They are used by certain services to run with certain priviledges...

^^ Other system accounts are disabled but u can enable them from Computer Management and can log in using them.

Oh... I did not know that... Thanks for the info... But I dont think I will ever use it... It is good to know anyway... BTW, what about the password for these accounts? Are they blank or the same as the administrator password?
