Default compress mp3


I have motorola L6i which has a mere 10 mb internal memory. Is there any freeware that can compress an mp3 song so that more songs can easily fit in the phone??? plz help me.....

Use Audacity. Its free.
Just decrease the bitrate and quality of your song and its size will decrease.
But dont decrease it too much or you might not be able to hear the song on your phone.

Don't u got PC Suite for ur phone? It comes with Motorola & it's a very good utility. I'm using it.

You can convert your MP3s into MP3-Pro, It offers reduced size at same bitrate.
You can even adjust the bitrate to suit your requirements!
EDIT:
I used to do dat with ma collection with the help of musicmatch jukebox.
Google It, you will find something worthy!!

You cannot compress mp3 files. You can reduce their bit rate and thereby reduce their filesize. But keep in mind that reducing bit rate will seriously affect quality. Once the file is reduced to a smaller bit rate, you cannot revert back because mp3 is a lossy format.
