need help with my pc

hi everyone !
i ve got this prob with my pc. it reboots often . sometimes when i scan my pc,when i try installing big sw,and sometimes without reason. i ve tried changing my os, scanned for virus ,even gone to tye extent of changing my motherboard but in vain. i would be glad if anybody could help me solve this prob....

may be problem with RAM module or SMPS!! try changng them both

dude make it a habit to also include the config of the PC while posting such posts.....

sure... mine s p4 ht ,512 mb ,ram 915gvwb intel motherboard, and i use xp

well it is difficult to predict ur problem.One of my friend using 915gav has got same problem but searching so much he found that the prob is RAM module & fluctuating power supply.
check that.

Are you using a branded UPS?
Sometimes UPS trips and let the PC reboot before it switches to backup mode!
