Smile two xp on single hard-disk ?


two xp on single hard-disk ?

I want two os and both of them must be xp .

Is that possible .

som of my friend said it is not possible becoz of som single user ..

AFAIK,yeah its possible!
why not?
As long as you install them on different partitions!

U can install more than 2 xp O.S. on single hard- drive....

ya it is possible. You need to install xp on two different partitions of the same hard disk (c: & D: etc). You will get two os (xp) at os selection window .

at one time i had 4 xp installations in 4 different partitions. so it is possible.

I had installed xp on different partitions. But installing xp on the same partition can lead to confusion and disaster.

Yes, Possible, One May install 2/3/x Windows on Same partition at the time of install Windows will ask u to install in a separate Dir, other than default x:\windows, where as u may have x:\windows1, x:\windows2 but the problem is All installation will share the same Documents and Settings folder, which will create tons of Problem !!!! but system will run !!

I would suggest if u have a Good config with 768+ MB ram, consider running of Virtual PC 2007 (Free from MS) or more pro tool such as VMware
