Thumbs down bandwidth extraction

I 've two pc's with one 512kpbs net connection. Now what I've did s that my hardware engineer placed a router and the net connection now flows to the two pc's at equal bandwith.what i wanted to ask is that how can i reduce the traffic in one of my pc with the other.I mean i dont want the bandwidth to be shared equally..How can i achieve it?..
