Default Sify Login App Help

hi!
i m a user of Sify and use Sify Broadband ver3.22 to login.
Prob is dat when this application is launched, it detects a valid antivirus installed on the system and if not found, you can not continue login unless u install a crappy anti-virus of Trend Micro.
It is unable to detect Avast & NOD32 bt works with Norton.
So I am forced to use Norton2005 on my system.
Anyone who can tell a anti-virus that can b recognised by Sify Login App.
or any sort of change in code of sify app that can b done.
pl help, i hate norton.
It makes ma system crawl!

Talking use supersify

hi ashfame
i have provided two sets of solutions/instructions/advice
take your pick

1. call sify customer care, blast them and hear them whine that maybe you cant use it
2. go to local sify wallah, drag the technicians home & watch them format your pc
3. get a better virus which will do the job of corrupting your pc, then format it!
4. install norton antivirus and tear your hair out when viruses first disable norton itself
5. better still leave sify and get any other isp even dialup is preferable

a. install any good anti-virus like nod32, PC-cillin, antivir or avast
b. update your antivirus and scan complete system
c. try uninstalling and reinstalling sify login client
d. use other clients like supersify or easysify which are lite and fast

lemme know what you choose
and if any problems

Arrow Re: Sify Login App Help

yes! I use supersify and its working fine for me.... it also shows balance.... and all details such as last login time, expiry date, product code....

it even has features not available in the login client/dialer provided by sify such as heartbeat, and logging with another's userid/password....!!!!

Check this out
http://broadbandforum.in/sify-broadb...clients-forum/

Supersify
Quote:
SuperSify is a simple console based client which you can use to log into your Sify Broadband account. Currently, it exists only for Win32 systems. SuperSify is a standalone client and does not require Sify's Client to work.
Apart from logging you on, keeping you on, and logging you off; SuperSify doesn't do much else. The really cool part about it is, the really small memory footprint. As compared to Sify's official clients - it takes a maximum of around 80KB of Physical Memory. eighty kilobytes. Compare that to the 8 MB that you lose to the Win32 client and the 15 - 20 MB which you lose to the Java client that is Sify client

Sify Guard
Quote:
Sify Guard is an add-on for SuperSify, If you are using Sify Broadband and worried about the 150 MB per day limit, then this application is for you. It controls your daily data transfer and informs you the result through a statistics chart. You have a couple of ways to control your daily limit. Sify Guard also helps you from getting disconnected from the Sify Server. Apart from all these Sify Guard does a lot more...

EasySify - the easier way to login to sify
Quote:
EasySify is an alternative broadband authentication client (Alternative Sify Broadband Client) for users of Sify Broadband Internet connections. Currently EasySify is available as Windows GUI & Linux Shell
