Now, one of the reason for which x64 came in was better and larger RAM/Page file Management !!! now whether you should migrate or not, depends on ur full configuration.... and to the OS installalling that's System Requirement... now there is no Point of Installaling Windows Vista x64 in a 256MB RAM system .... So post the full config...

Do u have problem in typing a little more details ??

Like How Much RAM ?? DDR ?? or DDR-II ?? what's the processsor Make and Model ?? ur HDD ??

if u dont know how to get this info, u may download a tool called CPU-Z from here, http://www.cpuid.com/download/cpu-z-140.zip run it, it will give all details of ur system, and post them back, (Please note, u Disable any AVS protection before running it, as it diggs core info, some AVS consider it as Harmfull object)

Now, even with my 3Gb some time i think why my system running slow... u have to maintain ur system, Like Use a software called CCleaner to clean all system junk, shift ur OS and applicatioon drives to NTFS file format, Defrag the HDD, Shift the Page file to another drive than ur OS drive, for 256 MB RAM u may use a page file of 768MB !! make sure no background process is eating up the system resources, reduce process from start up.... and offcourse, make sure no Virus or spyware is present

as many time, these helps more than a Format !!!!
