Animated wallpaper ? Ummm I guess there's one that digit mentioned few months back. But its more of a desktop screensaver than a wallpaper... Its called Vital Desktop.

Put the Animation in HTML page and appy it as Active Desktop

just use same process
save image in ur PC
right click & select
Set as Desktop Wallpaper

When u say "animated wallpaper" what are you referring to ?? GIF Files or Flash Files ??

The animated wallpapers , they are talking about can be animated GIF or SWF files ....
However, I suggest you to try out Vital Desktop atleast once..

or else if you want to set Video Wallpapers then u can do so with VLC , it can set up a video file as your wallpaper

i hav installed the software and when i right click on desktop an options with vital desktop opens..
wat to do next?

If u know flash then it is very nice. Make a animation and then save the file as HTML too and set it as desktop animation...

I hv tried saving a Animated GIF as a Wallpaper and it worked! That was fine day!
I had few wps of Jets. So mixed them together in a single GIF file using UnFreez ( a small s/w to combine various GIF into 1 animated GIF) and then I saved that as a desktop background.
Must say, larger the image file slower ur PC gets. My 1 Ghz celeron cried Uncle after the Image size exceeded 35 MB lol!

there were about some 60 Wallpapers of Jets. ... I GIF ed them, and then using UnFreez made them into animated Gif ..and it looked cool on my desktop, every 5 sec the wallpaper changing. But was bit too much for the Celeron... lol

Desktop>Right Click>Properties>Desktop Tab>Browse

Select the HTML file, make it ur wallpaper. It will work just like that!
Just as u wud select a Normal Wallpaper.

if i open a flash files [saved as html] normally ......... i get an error "2 help protect ur security, IE has restricted ....."

how 2 get rid of this error related 2 active x ?
