Exclamation Error Message - WMS Idle

Hi all
I recently purchased an assembled desktop. AMD + Asus. have loaded Win XP. and installed auto patches from Digit CD.
Now when i am going to shut down, i get a error message "WMS Idle - This program is not responding. Click "End Now" ...."
I have also got a blue screen saying "IRQL_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL"
but this screen does not come always.. only at times

what is the problem? and how to i get over it??

regards

This might help.
Also, this error pops up due to CPU over-heating or due to bad RAM .. Check the CPU temperatures under load using MBM and get the RAM checked using Memtest86.

No problem... Just install MBM.. its very easy to use... After installation, run it and monitor the CPU and HDD temperatures from within the program..
As for testing your RAM, go through this article.
