which is it is it kerio or zone alarm or any other
plz give ur suggestions

ps- this is for a real old celeron rig

I am using Ashampoo Firewall Free with Windows 2000 Pro. I does the trick and does not eat resouces. Its eating around 8 MB RAM now

@Choto Cheeta, read the post request - he is asking for free personal firewall. KIS is not free...

I like both Kerio and ZoneAlarm because they are easy to use... ZA is easier, but Kerio gives more flexibility...

anyway for free options, Zone Alarm would be my choise... its been here for a long time.. and user friendly too.. so Zone Alarm

Yeah... SP2's firewall is really user-friendly. You can either set it to on or off ... User-friendly Its light.... but isn't customisable to say the least...

and yeah ........ there no difference in it in security either when its on or off............ ....... its very light ...... it dosent even work ........

if you've Windows XP SP2, then ONLY go for ZA Free & make sure you've enuf RAM (ZA7 takes 25MB+ RAM), or try to get older version of ZA Free (v6.5... was lighter).

za is not lite. stick with the sp2 fw. good enuf considering ur pc ...

try some leak tests and you will know how secure is windows XP+SP2 firewall

Ashmapoo is extra lite on resorces..

I am using this piece (Ashampoo firewall) for six months and still found no reason to uninstall it

Yeah Comodo is the best firewall...but its tricky to set port forwarding for certain apps.
Zonealarm free is second to comodo.

Dont use XP built in firewall..its a kind advice
