Search for any hidden autorun.inf or autorun.ini files in the the drives and delete it. Before that uncheck the hide protected operating system files from the Folder Options->View menu

Your solution should be in the folder options. Go there and see what is default action. If it is "open with" change it to open. Or simply click the button "set everything to defaults".
