Default System Problem (Modem, a likely culprit)

Whenever I'm connected to the net and play an audio file or any media for that matter (even a yahoo audible or sound in a web page) ,my system crashes(shows the BSOD).

Modem: Motorola SM56 Speakerphone modem
Sound card: SoundBlaster Live! 24 bit
Mobo: MSI K8N Diamond
OS : Win XP SP2 with all the updates

Can anyone help me rectify this?

Thanks in advance,

check for any clashes in drivers ... for that go to right click onto my comp/devicemanager/hardware.... check for any question marks and rectify that....

RUN DXDIAG THEN GO TO SOUND ,THERE MUST B 2 SOUND TABS ONE 4 MODEM LINE & OTHER IS YOUR SOUND CARD . CHECK IF THEIR ACCELERATION IS DISABLED OR ANYTHIN .THEN REPORT. ALTERNATIVELY YOU CAN CREATE A NEW ACCOUNT IN WINDOWS, RUN VIRUS SCAN,UNINSTALL MODEM&SOUND>REBOOT>REINSTALL>REBOOT

YOUR PROBLEM MUST B SOLVED ELSE YR MODEM/SOUND IS FAULTY

BTW R U USIN ORIGINAL WINDOWS?

Exclamation Re: System Problem (Modem, a likely culprit)

disable auto restart in case of sys failure & see the bsod, note the error code &
identified files(if any)

disable auto restart

go to sys properties(right click my comp select properties)>advanced>under startup & recovery click settings>in the box opened deselect auto restart

now you will b able to note the error codes in bsod
