Default BIOS not ACPI compliant

Hello
Recently I have purchased a motherboard (P-3 Intel 810E) with 128 mB Ram.
My problem is that when I tried to install XP or 2000 Professional I got message (BIOS is not ACPI compliant) and then installation failed. It also give message (Update your BIOS or Press F7 during text mode setup i.e, Press F7 key when you are prompted to install storage drivers.) I dont understand when I am prompted to install storage drivers also what is this text mode setup.

Plz tell me what is the real problem and how can I update my BIOS.

Currently I have loaded WIn-98 and all is fine. But whenever I tried to install XP or 2000 professional I face the above problem.
For your information In boot-up screen My BIOS name display is "Hendrix BIOS R0.04B"
PLZ help me ...............

Default Re: BIOS not ACPI compliant

I also experianced the same problem before. But I also found that if I kept my PC off for 8-10 hours, the PC would start normally without any errors!
