Default software to move 300 gb data

I need to move 300 gb data to another disk,
I tried many times but I randomly get error that the certain file "access denied'the file may be in use thenthe part of the data is copied but rest of it gets cancled.

Its taking hell lot of time since yesterday I am not ableto finish it.

I need to verify that the data is securly copied since I will be formatting the original disk.
any free utility or a better method to do so.

Default Re: software to move 300 gb data

I have that program but it does not find any locking handle & gives option to move to another disk but fail to do so.

So it does not help much, I want automated coping of the disk directories to another disk its 300gb data & its takig toomuch time, I let it run for the night but it was halted as some file could not be accessed.

I then disable the anti virus but tat did not help either.

How do u guys move large amount of data, one way is to make a clone of hdd using arconis true image, but in my case I dont want bcoz the older hdd is formatted to be a dynamic disk & I need to reformat it to basic disk, but before doing that the data needs to be secured.

If I make a clone I guess the new hdd will be a dynamic disk again since its a clone of old hdd.

I tried zipping all the folders & again the same fails giving errors some files access is denied.
