Vim for Windows - www.vim.org
Or NTEmacs, which is compiled and distributed by yours truly - http://ntemacs.sourceforge.net

Both are very portable and standard editors across different systems.

vi/vim the omnipresent editor. I wonder if there's anywhere except windows where we can't find vi.
As for emacs, well I have heard that it can do so much that many people call it emacs OS

notepad ++ is really a gr8 editor.. i use it for c,python and all programming stuff that includes web etc..

All those facilities are available in many editors these days... Crimson Editor (which I had mentioned earlier) also has these features...

Lately I've been using Komodo Edit for Windows .. The best thing about it is Vi emulation .. ..
