Default cannot restore to an earlier time..!


i am trying to restore my comp to an earlier time but could not do that, when I tried to restore my comp to an earlier version it restore all the files and restart then after starting is shows that restoration failed, nothing has been change to ur computer chose another restore point. I tried with many restore point but same result. i posted this topic earlier but did not get +ve reply, so plz help me ths time.

same problem here...probably an attack of virus and corruption of your system restore file...wht i did was delete system information files from all drives and repair operating system through bootable cd...

windows system restore does not create full back up like image file. as number of restore points increases it creates differential backup of registry and files. chances of restoration decreases with increase of restoration point.
if you are doing any major changes,first delete all restore points and then restart and create new restore point.
best backup is image backup like norton ghost ,acronis true image etc.windows restore should be last option in backup

Use Datasys Restore softwares, one snap shot and your computer is slaped from snap.
